YES, IT’S A REAL LAKE. AND YES, IT’S AS COOL AS THE BEER.

About 45 minutes north of Kenora (show me on a map!), tucked off the beaten path, you’ll find a little gem called Forgotten Lake — the namesake for one of our most iconic brews. Once upon a time, it was the secret blueberry-picking spot for one of our owners. The rocky terrain is basically a blueberry buffet.. just watch out for the locals. Where there are blueberries, there are black bears. Stay alert out there, and remember… You don’t need to outrun the bear… just your friends. 😉
Seriously smooth with a surprise kick. Forgotten Lake clocks in at 7.1%, but she hides it well. This strong ale gets a refreshing twist thanks to real blueberries added straight into the aging tank, no artificial flavour here. Expect a light purple-amber pour with a foamy head, aromas of clean sweet malt, tree fruit, and a subtle herbal blueberry. Medium-bodied, bready malt, a little citrus, and that delicate blueberry finish? Chef’s kiss. Just like a black bear or a moose, this beer will sneak up on you if you’re not careful.
Get blueberried with Forgotten Lake. A true northern original, brewed with real blueberries and a whole lotta regional love.
