Nestled in the calm, postcard-perfect shores of Pelican Lake in Sioux Lookout, The Forest Bar & Grill has been a beloved community staple for over two decades. New management took ownership in 2020 and have been pouring their hearts into the place ever since! Continuing the tradition of genuine northern hospitality, cozy spaces, comforting food, a welcoming atmosphere and sunsets that make you stare a little longer than you meant to.

Beyond their great food and great service, The Forest Bar & Grill has something many dream of: the best patio in town and a lake-view lounge where you can sip a drink and watch the water. And if lake views aren’t enough, They also have a private beachside volleyball court where patrons can play a game or simply enjoy the lake! THE SIOUX LOOKOUT ANNUAL BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL.
Sioux Lookout is full of year-round community events, but one they really highlighted was the annual Blueberry Festival – full of games, activities, and fun for the whole town to enjoy. During the festival, they feature our Forgotten Lake Blueberry Ale, which they say is always a hit with the guests! (They have great taste.)
The annual Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival has been a staple in the community since 1983. The blueberry theme came naturally, August in Sioux Lookout is prime blueberry season, with an abundance growing in the area. The festival has grown into a massive 10-day event featuring 130 events! At its core, the festival is all about celebrating the community and showing off everything Sioux Lookout has to offer. It’s one of the biggest, most anticipated events of the year… and yes, it pairs perfectly with a cold Forgotten Lake Blueberry Ale. 😉
