How We’re Supporting The Winnipeg Humane Society
Giving back has always been part of our DNA, and our Charity Pints Program is one of our favourite ways to turn good beer into good things. In both our Kenora & Winnipeg taprooms, we will be donating $0.25 from each featured pint sold throughout 2026. The featured pint changes monthly, giving you something new to sip on to support local causes. Now that’s something to raise a glass to!
Who They Are
The Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) has been standing up for animals in Manitoba for over 130 years! Their mission is simple but powerful: to protect animals from suffering and promote their dignity and well-being. Whether it’s dogs, cats, critters, or the occasional unexpected guest, WHS is there to help animals find safety, care, and a second chance.
The Winnipeg Humane Society isn’t just about finding homes, it’s about building a kinder, more compassionate community for animals and the people who love them. That aligns perfectly with what Charity Pints is all about.
What they Do
The Winnipeg Humane Society does a lot, and it goes way beyond adoptions:
- Care for thousands of animals every year, providing shelter, medical treatment, and daily love
- Run adoption and foster programs to help pets find their forever homes
- Offer community supports like pet food assistance and behaviour resources to help keep animals with their families
- Provide education and outreach programs that teach responsible pet ownership and compassion
- Advocate for animal welfare across Manitoba

The WHS February 50/50!

Each year, the Winnipeg Humane Society rescues and looks after more than 10,000 animals. Funds from the 50/50 help cover essentials like medical treatment, nutritious food, and warm shelter, ensuring every animal that comes through their doors gets the support they deserve.
